Mansfeld
Peter Mansfeld was a schoolboy when he participated the Revolution against communism in Hungary in 1956.
This statue represents him – as a falling star. You can check it on your way up to the castle hill approaching from the direction of Batthyányi square.
He was not killed in the revolution, but was sentenced to death. When he reached the age of 18, he was executed.
Andor Szilágyi created a movie based on Mansfeld’s story.
